Slipstream

Meet the Slipstream team! They’re a bunch of talented folks who work hard to make Slipstream one of the best publications in the region. They’ve got editors, an advertising team, an ad design team, a layout team, and a mailing team. They’re like a well-oiled machine that scours for incredible content and keeps Slipstream shining bright.

Club Meets

The Maverick region is known for its motto, “driving friendships.” The region’s biggest motivator for friendships is the variety of club meets organized by it. These meets range from concours events to coffee meets and tech sessions. In addition to these regular events, the region has a team dedicated to organizing special events that bring people together over food, driving tours, and of course, camaraderie.

The Maverick Women Behind the Wheels team also organizes meets specifically for women in the club. Be sure to check it out!

Maverick Women Behind The Wheel

Maverick Women Behind the Wheel team promotes driving friendships between women whether they are drivers or navigators.  We organize meets for women in the club including high-performance driver education, tours, tech sessions, Christmas cookie exchange, happy hours, pop up lunches, and support charitable efforts for the Hope House(domestic violence shelter) and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

HPDE & Club Race

PCA and Maverick region members are passionate about Porsches, and Porsches love to be driven! The region offers a diverse range of driving events, including club races held in exotic locations like the “Circuit of the Americas".

Of course, becoming a great driver requires proper training, and that’s where the region’s team of experienced instructors comes in to play. These instructors are knowledgeable about the tracks, cars, and have years of experience in driving.

Tours

The tours team organizes some fantastic tours that take drivers on local routes. These tours highlight the unique riding dynamics of the cars and prioritize safety at all times.

AutoCross

AutoX (Autocross) is an exhilarating motorsport that takes place at typical street and highway speeds. It highlights precise car control in a fun, low-cost, friendly, and safe competition. Learn and rapidly refine advanced driving skills and techniques in a non-threatening environment marked by soft traffic cones in a large parking lot or similar setting.

Experience the capabilities of your Porsche like never before and drive it as it was designed. AutoX is gentle on your car, and all Porsches are welcome to participate. The car control skills you gain allow you to explore the limits of your car, making you a safer driver on the street. Discover the joy and camaraderie of AutoX!

Rallies

A “PCA Rally” is a driving event organized by the Club where participants navigate a set course on public roads, adhering to specific time and distance guidelines. Essentially, it’s like a timed scavenger hunt in their Porsche cars, with the objective of completing the route as precisely as possible. These rallies can be competitive or purely enjoyable, depending on the event.

Memberships and Socials

The Maverick region, the third largest in the PCA, maintains a strong personal connection with its members and families despite its size. The membership team ensures that this relationship scales as the region grows.

The Maverick region has also recognized the impact of social media and the web on its members. They have created stunning photo and video content with high member participation. Additionally, there is a deep focus on motorsports, history, and trivia quizzes.

Merch, Volunteer, Comms

The members are thrilled to represent their organization! Merchandising is a popular activity, with a wide range of items available, including badges, license plates, apparel, and drinkware. The events are also successfully organized thanks to the support of volunteers and effective communication.

PCA Representation

Zone Representatives act as liaisons between PCA National and Regions, supporting safety, policy, liability, and communications. They are responsible for the welfare and progress of Regions within their Zones, bridging the gap between National and local organizations.
