Maverick Region Charity has scheduled a volunteer workday (actually, a work morning) on Saturday, June 27 from 7:30 am to 11 am at Stone’s Throw Farm,  one of our new Fort Worth charities. We invite all interested members to participate. 

 

Similar to our ongoing relationship with Lena Pope, the Maverick Region helps support Stone’s Throw Farm through our donations of time and money. This wonderful non-profit creates work opportunities for Downs Syndrome and Autistic special needs teens and adults.

Our tasks for the work event will be building raised beds for growing vegetables, shoveling dirt, and planting plants.

Stone’s Throw Farm is located off Highway 377 outside Whiskey Flats at 9560 FM-1187E.
 

The tentative schedule is: 

• 7:30 am – 8:30 am coffee meet-up in Stone’s Throw parking lot. 

• 8:45 am – Maverick Region and Autobahn Porsche check presentation

• 9 am - Jack and Trish Stone will make some remarks to the volunteers, then direct us to the work area.

• 9 am - 11am – work (finished before it gets too hot)
